Born and raised in Plant City, Florida, TJ is a current law enforcement officer with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office since 2013. He is the recipient of the distinguished Medal of Valor and was the 2015 Deputy of the Year. He has a passion for serving others and is an avid outdoorsman, which led him to become a United States Coast Guard licensed Captain.

In the fall of 2016, TJ founded Hook-A-Hero after recognizing his fellow first responders needed help. Being a first responder himself, his inspiration came from seeing all of the hard work and sacrifice of his fellow first responders. He knows firsthand that each one gives their absolute all, day in and day out, to serve others, but it seemed that no one was serving them. Thus, the mission for Hook A Hero was born, and the passion to give back to those that so selflessly give became a reality.  TJ's desire to give back and share his love of the outdoors with his fellow first responders is at the heart of Hook A Hero.
