Pete Bratkovich

Pete began his career in public service in 2011 as a Firefighter/EMT, driven by a deep passion for helping others. In 2014, he earned his State Paramedic certification and currently serves as an active-duty Florida State Firefighter/Paramedic. Over the years, Pete has had the privilege of serving alongside remarkable individuals, including his friend and colleague, fellow Board Member Zach Maddox. Zach first introduced Pete to Hook-A-Hero while organizing a memorial event for a Fallen Firefighter in October 2024.

Pete is a proud father of three boys, his oldest serving our country as an active-duty Marine, and his two younger sons still in school. Pete’s commitment to service extends beyond my profession; he is dedicated to standing beside his brothers and sisters in uniform, supporting them as they face—and win—their silent personal battles. Since being introduced to Hook, Pete has long admired the dedication, compassion, and selfless service this organization provides to those in need. The work our organization does changes lives, and he looks forward to contributing to further support the mission.
